Coronavirus Resources for
Candidates

We're here to help.

Here are some of the most common questions we've received from candidates about how our hiring process has changed in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Does The Cigna Group have a Covid-19 vaccine policy?

First, to protect our workforce, communities, and the people we serve we strongly encourage employees to get vaccinated and boosted.  The Cigna Group's position at this time is to comply with all federal, state, and local mandates in addition to client requirements. What this means for you:

  • If you apply to a position that has a vaccination requirement, it will be listed within the job description.

  • For client-facing positions: Employees are required to be vaccinated or regularly tested if the client contractual obligations require vaccination. Your recruiter will inform you if this is a condition of your employment.

  • Employees subject to federal, state, or local mandates must comply with vaccination, testing, and masking requirements for applicable mandate(s).

  • Vaccination for work-related travel is not required.

If you have additional questions, send us a private message on our Life at Cigna Group Facebook page or ask your recruiter.

Can I make my in-person interview a virtual one?

Yes, if you are scheduled for an in-person interview and do not feel comfortable attending you need to notify your recruiter immediately.

At minimum, candidates will need a phone to participate in virtual interviews.

What if I feel ill on the day of my in-person interview?

If you feel sick, have a fever, or have been in close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19, do not attend your in-person interview.  Instead, follow the most recent guidance outlined by the CDC and your regional and local officials first.

Next, contact your recruiter to potentially switch to a virtual interview or postpone until you are well.

I'm nervous about going to a drug testing facility, what should I do?

To protect your health and safety, our drug testing facilities do not support COVID-19 testing.  We encourage you to call the facility ahead of your drug screening to ask about the precautions they're taking so you can be fully prepared.

Note: Extensions will not be granted for drug testing.

My start date is coming up soon. Is Cigna Group offering work from home accommodations for new employees?

Some new hires will be eligible to work from home. Please reach out to your recruiter before your first day to discuss this further.
