With over 75,000 employees globally to support, The Cigna Group’s HR function continues to evolve to be an innovator with the ever-changing workforce and workplace trends. To support our growing organization, we are focused on developing our next generation of leaders by providing exposure to different functional areas within our HR function through a rotational program.

The Human Resources Leadership Development Program (HRLDP)’s goal is to develop future HR leaders who have a well-rounded understanding of the HR function through robust experiences with breadth, depth, and leadership, and through mentorship and development.

Our 10-week summer associate experience provides exposure to our organization and leadership while having the intern class solve a real business problem. Those who excel during their internship will be considered for a full-time position as part of the HRLDP after completion of their post-graduate degree.

The diversity of career opportunities and authenticity of HR leadership is why I came to The Cigna Group as an intern, and the support and mentorship that I’ve received through the program is one of the many reasons I chose to stay on full time.”

Check out our summer internship.

HRLDP summer associates will contribute to the Human Resources function by working on meaningful projects in one of our HR functions. Projects will vary by year and based on each summer associate’s background and interest, as well as business need. Our summer associates will have a manager as well as peer and leadership mentors to support them during their 10-week internship.

Our summer experience will give associates a realistic preview of what it’s like to work in HR at The Cigna Group. Associates will develop skills to be successful in full-time role(s) and will complete a meaningful assignment with visible impact on the organization.
