HRLDP Associate
The HRLDP is designed for graduate students who aspire to become future HR leaders. Through a series of immersive experiences and rotational opportunities, participants gain exposure to a variety of HR disciplines while building the skills needed to support both employees and business objectives.

The program is designed to provide a broad understanding of the HR function, opportunities to develop strategic thinking and leadership capabilities, and meaningful experiences that contribute to organizational success. By the end of the program, participants are prepared to make an impact across the employee experience and help drive business outcomes through the people side of the organization.

Sophia's Career Journey

Since joining The Cigna Group in 2021, Sophia has built a diverse HR career spanning compensation, leadership development, talent assessment, people analytics, and HR business partnering. Through each role, she has helped drive strategic talent initiatives, support business leaders, and enhance employee development across the organization.

2021: Compensation Summer Associate

Job title
Sophia began her career at The Cigna Group as a Compensation Summer Associate, where she helped develop a career leveling guide used by HR Business Partners to assess and align roles within the company's career architecture.

2022: Developmental Assessments Lead

Job title
Sophia managed the vendors, programs, and materials supporting the organization's developmental assessment offerings. She scaled assessment delivery across leadership development programs and became a certified Korn Ferry assessment facilitator and CliftonStrengths coach.

2023: Compensation Consultant

Job title
Sophia rejoined the Compensation team as a Compensation Consultant and served as program manager for two Annual Compensation Planning cycles. She supported Evernorth and Technology client groups with role evaluations, offer development, and compensation and title structure reviews.

2025: HR Business Partner & Lead Analyst

Job title
In a hybrid HRBP and analytics role, Sophia supported the Cigna Healthcare HR Business Partner team by managing key HR cyclical processes, developing people analytics materials for talent reviews, and partnering with Network leaders on strategic workforce initiatives.

Current: HR Business Partner Advisor, Cigna Healthcare

Job title
Today, Sophia serves as an HR Business Partner Advisor supporting the Network Management organization on strategic people decisions and talent initiatives. She also serves as Program Manager for the Sales & Contracting Development Program (SCDP), helping develop future talent and leadership capabilities across the business.
