The Pharmacy Underwriting Development Program (PUDP) is an 18-week accelerated learning experience within Evernorth Health Services. It combines instructor-led training, self-paced study, and collaborative group projects to build core underwriting skills.

You'll receive in-depth technical training through a comprehensive curriculum that includes group learning, mentorship, and networking. But this program goes beyond the classroom—you’ll apply your skills to real business challenges through impactful group projects that drive meaningful results.

If you’re looking for a career that will allow you to directly impact business results, as well as use strong analytical and math skills, then starting your career within Evernorth's PBM Finance Underwriting team will allow you to do all this and more.

Hear it from Anthony D.            Previous PUDP Intern

"Before working in my current position, I took an offer as an Underwriting Intern while I was finishing up my bachelor’s degree. Once I assumed the role, I found myself gaining a breadth of knowledge into the complexities of pharmacy benefit management. Throughout the experience, I was provided with an incredible support system and an environment genuinely dedicated to fostering my growth. In my current role, all the same still stands and things have gotten even better. Evernorth, in my unbiased opinion, is a great workplace for anyone to establish themselves at—whether you are a recent college graduate, someone looking for the next career milestone, or someone looking to reenter the workforce—this company is dedicated to learning and supporting, every step of the way."
