Our Actuarial Executive Development Program (AEDP) provides associates with hands-on experience, dedicated executive mentorship, and the comprehensive support needed to accelerate their actuarial careers.

Who We Hire:
Students pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, data analytics, or related fields. ​
​
Individuals committed to completing SOA actuarial credentials.​
​
Future leaders passionate about making a difference in healthcare.

Internship* and full-time roles available in:​
Bloomfield, CT​
Philadelphia, PA​
Denver, CO​
Franklin, TN​
Austin, TX​

Hybrid flexibility for full-time associates to work remotely 2 days per week.
​
*Relocation and housing support available for interns.

Timeframe:
Full-time AEDP associates experience 3-4 rotations across actuarial functions, include pricing, reserving, finance, underwriting, data and analytics across all key business areas​.

Program length varies from 5-7 years and is centered around career growth and professional development.

Internship is an 11-week summer experience.

 Dates:
Recruiting for the AEDP begins in August and ends in November.

Explore our summer internship experience

The Cigna Group's 11-week actuarial summer internship is designed to identify future full-time associates for the AEDP.  In fact, over 75% of our interns join us full-time after college.

As an intern, you're assigned a project to own all the way from data collection and analysis to recommendation communication. At the end of the summer, you’ll present your findings to the entire actuarial department.

And as an added bonus, we have a jam-packed social calendar for our interns made up of Actuarial and Executive speaker series, technical development workshops, social activities, volunteer events, and more!
