Program perks:

Customized learning experience

As a TECDP associate, you're able to select multiple assignments throughout your time with us, giving you the opportunity to build and shape your own program experience as part of a highly individualized early-career path. With this learning philosophy, associates are able to diversify their experience or declare an area of specialization.

Formalized mentorship

As you begin to shape your career path, you're supported by your TECDP class program manager, assigned to a Technology Services role manager and program "buddy", and connected to co-workers, peers, and mentors.

Participation in committees

During your time in the TECDP, you'll dedicate approximately 20% of your time towards participating in one or more committees aimed at driving the direction of the program and building your leadership, technical, and soft skills. These committees are focused on recruiting, diversity and inclusion, development, innovation, branding, and onboarding.

Example of roles available to program participants:

Application Developer

As an application developer, you'll devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems regarding computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. To ensure the applications are successful, you'll be responsible for all designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents to these programs.

Architect

In this role you'll evaluate and test potential IT architecture solutions to ensure they meet our users' needs. You'll be responsible for producing moderately complex IT architecture designs and then translating user requirements to solutions. Examples of technologies you'll use include Sparx Enterprise Architect, Microsoft Visio, and a variety of reporting tools.

Information Protection

In an information protection role, you'll be responsible for the research, evaluation, recommendation, and administration of systems/procedures to ensure the protection of information that is processed, stored, or transmitted. You'll identify security risks and exposures, determine the causes of complex security violations, and suggest procedures to halt future incidents.

Scrum Master

In this role, you'll lead, plan, manage, and direct a project team to accomplish the objectives of a project with limited, local objectives. This will require you to maintain working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT. Directing a project of this scope will require you to
review and formulate project plans, manage schedules, and monitor budgets.

“Being a TECDP Associate means I’m welcomed into a community of young professionals that want to see each other prosper. In addition to this, we also have an extended family of Alumni and Senior Leadership that will guide us along the way. From being an Intern to now working full time and entering my third rotation, I’ve experienced tremendous growth in various technical skills and leadership skills. TECDP has taught me how to build a brand for myself and advocate on behalf of myself and others. Without a doubt, this program is fertile soil for others to grow and blossom. I am a prime example of it!”
